Keswick View is a detached Victorian property in the heart of Keswick. Keswick View is privately owned and has been operated by the Newton family since 2007, with locally-based management and cleaners. Our three renovated apartments combine period features with modern fixtures and fittings.
We welcome guests from the UK and all over the world, including neighbouring European countries, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The photo shows Keswick View from Lake Road. Access to Keswick View is via the blue front door and a private hallway leading to all three apartments. Whinlatter and Castlerigg apartments are on the first and second floors. Alternative level access to the Garden apartment is via its sun-lounge from the rear car-park. The Toy Chest shop is a separate business and does not share any facilities with Keswick View.
Keswick View was originally built in 1864 and known as ‘Bellevue House’. It has welcomed visitors to the Lakes for over a century, first as a boarding house and later as self-catering apartments. Follow the link to read a short history of Keswick View.

We aim to maintain high quality standards at Keswick View. To help us achieve this, our apartments are inspected annually by VisitEngland and all three apartments have 4* ratings. The ground-floor Garden apartment offers level access from the car park and into town and is suitable for use by visitors who have moderate mobility difficulties.
Access to the upper-floor apartments (Whinlatter and Castlerigg) is via a staircase from the front hall and porch, which also has staircase access from the street.
